ART & PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOPS

Art for the Soul workshops are taught by Marion McCristall and guest artists and photographers. We provide a friendly environment that encourages and inspires artistic growth. We believe everyone has an artist inside them ready for creative expression and we want to help you find your artistic voice. Whether you are a beginner or professional or somewhere in between, our classes will inspire you to explore various art media or photography techniques and create imagery you will be proud of. Each class includes tutorials followed with side-by-side guidance from the instructor. We also offer private classes for individuals or small groups.

Relax, Create and Be Inspired at our Women's Art Retreat

Join us this fall for Creative Art Experiences in the serene pine forest at Loon Lake Lodge and Retreat Centre. 

 

The Retreat includes accommodation in the beautiful Johnson Cabins, all meals, art materials, and art instruction. 

 

We will start the retreat with a half hour forest walk along the lake to clear away stresses and to prepare for enjoyable and relaxing Creative Art Experiences. We will be making what Marion calls Absolutely Abstracts. No art experience is necessary as Marion will teach all the basics you will need. We will explore a variety of media and colours on paper and canvas.

 

The Retreat is intended to give you a pause from the stresses of everyday life in a beautiful natural setting while you pick up a brush with paint and explore your creative side. You will return home with your painted treasures  to keep for yourself or share with others.

WORKSHOP FEE

  • Double shared room with twin beds for you and your friend $735 per person

  • Single Supplement $150 to have your own room

RETREAT HOURS

Arrival and Registration 3:30 pm, Monday 

Departure after lunch Wednesday

REGISTRATION

Fill out and submit the Registration Form, (see link below,) or email artsforthesoulworkshops@gmail.com and we will send you one.

PAYMENT

Once we receive your Registration Form we will issue an invoice for payment. This can be paid by bank e-transfer and is non-refundable after March 5. You will be able to send someone in your place if you are unable to attend. 

A receipt will be issued upon payment.

Techniques for Stronger Images

Techniques to Enhance Street Images

Marion's Art of Photography workshops can help you align your creative vision with what you capture in camera. You will learn how to "see" and "create" images that make your heart sing. Workshop dates in Vancouver will posted soon.

Street photography in either colour or black and white is a great way to capture life in cities and towns. Email if you'd like to be on the list for our fall one day workshop in Vancouver. Date and location is coming soon.
